What are white-label AI agents?
These are AI assistants offered under a reseller’s identity. The partner creates the offer, configures service and bills customers. In FunnelOps, the agent is part of the white-label CRM and can use company information to answer questions, qualify contacts and hand conversations to a person.
Flow-based chatbot or AI agent?
A flow-based chatbot follows predefined paths, such as choosing a department or schedule. An AI agent interprets messages and responds using configured instructions and sources. Combine them: flows for fixed rules and AI for open questions. Define permitted actions and the situations that require human service.
How to launch your first AI offer
- Choose a small process: sales questions, support triage or new-contact qualification.
- Gather approved content: services, prices, hours, policies and common answers. Assign someone to keep it current.
- Configure identity, tone, instructions and actions. Connect only what the first scenario requires.
- Test real questions, incomplete messages, out-of-scope requests and requests for a person.
- Review conversations and improve sources and instructions before expanding usage.
What you can configure in FunnelOps
The AI product page describes per-company identity and instructions, document and link knowledge sources, lead qualification, conversation summaries and human handoff. Actions such as scheduling, catalog lookup and payment requests require compatible modules, permissions and integrations. A product capability does not mean every action is enabled on every plan.
How to price agents separately from usage
Account for onboarding, knowledge maintenance, support, connections and provider usage. FunnelOps includes chatbots and AI agents in the free plan, with 5 shared connections and unlimited companies and users. That does not mean unlimited messages, tokens or voice. Check the plan and external services before promising a fixed customer price.
What to measure after launch
Measure first-response time, handoffs, qualified contacts and answers requiring correction. Message volume alone is not an outcome. AI can make mistakes even with configured knowledge sources: review conversations and keep a clear path to human support.
An offer customers can understand
Instead of selling an agent that does everything, describe a bounded service. A maintenance business might need a name, equipment type, service location and preferred time before involving the quote owner. The value is organized intake. Confirming bookings, prices or execution depends on approved rules and integrations.
Separate what the agent collects, reads and changes. Collecting a preferred time is different from making a booking; explaining a published policy is different from negotiating a discount. This supports permission setup and a verifiable demo: customers can check whether each agreed task was performed.
How to organize knowledge sources
Create a reference covering services, common questions and service rules. Avoid mixing old material, expired offers and conflicting conditions without identifying the current version. Assign ownership and review to each source. A concise, coherent base is easier to test than a large folder nobody maintains.
Turn real questions into test cases: direct questions, typos, incomplete requests and apparently conflicting information. Record the expected answer and why it is correct. When a source changes, repeat affected cases. Test both content and behavior: answer, request missing information or hand off to a person.
Human handoff and autonomy limits
Define when the agent should stop and hand off: customer requests, out-of-scope topics, insufficient information or actions requiring approval. The recipient needs the reason and collected information. Check destination queues and history continuity during the demo. Automating intake must not leave conversations without an owner.
Define after-hours behavior too. If nobody can take over, the agent should explain the next step under company policy. Do not promise immediate resolution when the operation can only respond later. Include this in instructions and training so automation and people make the same service commitment.
How to measure quality and review service
Review a conversation sample for correct sources, collected data and clear next actions. Classify issues by cause: outdated sources, ambiguous instructions, unavailable integrations or out-of-scope requests. Each fix then has a concrete target. Lengthening prompts without understanding the cause may hide problems and make maintenance harder.
Combine quality reviews with operating cost and handoff volume. Many replies may deliver little value if they do not qualify contacts or transfer with context. Meet customers periodically to update sources and success criteria. Reselling AI requires a maintained service and clear responsibilities, beyond enabling a dashboard feature.
